If I cannot repay a loan, and the bank wants to sell the debt, is there any way for me to object? What are my rights if my loan is passed to a new creditor?
Your rights and obligations are defined in your loan contract. If one lender wants to sell the loan to another institution, that is their choice. You don't have a vote, but the new lender has to abide by the same contract you have now.
