Which Balance Can I Spend?

Can I spend money that's in my available account balance? I put $128 on my debit card today and I checked on online and it said that $128 is not on balance yet. It's in available balance, so I have $128 on my available balance and $3 on my balance. If I spend $118 with PayPal, does it comes out from available balance, or should I wail till $128 goes to the balance?

The only reason your deposit had not yet been added to your balance is that it had not actually been processed. At the end of the bank's processing for the day, the deposit should be included both in your balance and in your available balance. Whether or not a PayPal purchase will cause a problem before the deposit is reflected in both balances will depend on how your PayPal account is set up, so this cannot be definitely answered.

How long it takes for the balance to reflect your deposit may depend on when you made that deposit. If you made it late on a Friday evening, it may not show up in your bank balance until Tuesday morning.
