I am moving to China for a year and will need to have bills paid monthly. Can I keep my account here and put money into it from there?
You should contact your bank to find out what your options are. The U.S. State Department may be able to get you information on whether you will likely have uninterrupted secure Internet access to your bank's online banking/bill payment service. You'll also need to find out whether and how any funds you earn while in China can be deposited to your U.S. account. Check with whatever your source of funds (employer, school, grant program, etc.) will be for that information.
