Can your bank withdraw monthly meeting payments from your account without your authorization? The payments were not due yet.
Get a copy of the contract and disclosures for the bank's bill-payment service to find out when the bank withdraws funds for bill payment transactions. The answer may depend on how the bank gets the payment information. For example, you may have given the payee permission to electronically charge your account monthly, or you may have set up the individual payment yourself using the bank's website or that of its web banking/bill payment provider. If you believe that the withdrawals were made without your permission and earlier than contracted for, you can file an error claim with the bank's electronic banking department.
