Account Problems and Creditors

I have creditors after me, so they get into my bank accounts. Can I open one with out this happening? Is there anywhere in NY where I can open a bank account without a social security number?

Generally no. The IRS also wants that reporting information, so banks have little choice. They also don't want someone on their books who is hiding. Depending on what is allowed in your state, creditors can often go after many or most of your assets, including bank accounts. If you hid those assets, that too could be a violation of law.

Contact your creditors and make payment arrangements so that they don't go after your accounts. If it is your intent to not pay, you should seek a bankruptcy attorney.
