Is is lawful for an employer to reverse an employees payroll fund and deposit the employees paycheck for an unrelated and unagreed upon dollar amount (for relocation expenses) without notifying the employee in advance?
The question here seems to be one of the amount of the payment. The bank is the receiver of the funds and would not be aware of what amount should be deposited for their customer. The bank simply has an obligation to tell the customer about the deposit.
