I have POA for my deceased parents. The trustee refuses to allow me access to a trust bank account. Federal law allowed me to access tax documents filed by this trustee even though she refused to share information with me. The IRS and I found fraud. How can I access the account without spending much unavailable money? Is there a federal law giving me the right to access the account?

If you truly held a power of attorney issued by each of your parents, that power of attorney is no longer effective. A power of attorney ends with the respective grantor's death, so unless you are the executor or administrator of a parent's estate, you have no position from which to argue. If you believe that a trustee that owes you an accounting as a beneficiary has withheld information from you, you may have to resort to civil court action to compel the release of the information.
