Can I be POA and POD?

Can a person be POD and POA at the same time?

Yes, if both designations are made by the account owner. In most cases, if one holds a power of attorney from an account owner, one cannot make oneself a payable on death beneficiary for the account. That sort of designation must ordinarily be made personally by the account owner.
