Consumers now have an electronic version of an identity theft protection packet that advises consumers how to stop the theft before it occurs. The McGruff ID Armour is available online at www.boomerangit for $14.95.
The packet of forms and tips includes step-by-step directions on what to do to protect an identity, forms for credit bureaus and direct marketers, phone numbers to call and valuable tips on keeping identity safe. California Union of Safety Employees recently endorsed the product and provided it to all 7,000 members. Boomerangit is the official lost and found service of the National Crime Prevention Council.
