Can Bank Dip into Your 401K?

When you are having financial difficulties, can the bank take money from your 401K retirement fund?

No. Under most circumstances a bank may not take money out of a consumers retirement account to pay a debt owed the bank.

There could be extenuating circumstances under some laws of which we are not aware. A court would have to be involved in those cases.
