I am trustee for my mom's trust account which has a federal ID number. Can I open a savings account in the trust name, and if so, at what bank that gives a decent interest rate?
You'll have to shop around for the rate yourself. Review the ads in your local paper for a start, and don't forget that you might get a better rate in a Certificate of Deposit if you can let the funds be tied up for a while. You should be able to open a savings or CD account for the trust at almost any bank or credit union.
