ID Needed to Open Account

My fiance will be entering the U.S. under a k-1 I94 visa in a few short weeks. I need to open a savings account in her name before she arrives, but she doesn't have a social security number. What other form of ID will my bank accept to allow me to do this?

You really need to ask your bank. Within certain limits, banks establish their own account identification rules. Some banks will open accounts for non-resident alien individuals; some will not.
