Too Many Buy-outs; Who's Got My Money?

Two possible issues are presented here. First, look in Bank Find, which is a tool from the FDIC that allows answering common questions including, "What Happened to My Bank (Historical List of Events)? Does My Bank have a New Name?"

Secondly, look to your states escheat requirements. After a period of inactivity, bank deposits are turned over to the state by law. You would then go to your state to collect your money if the account has been turned over to them. This website may help you find out if you have money being held by the state.
