My bank allowed my soon-to-be ex-husband to open an account solely under my name while I was out of the country. How can I take action? Also, they allowed him to cancel the one debit card that I have and now I am stuck out of the country with no access to my money. What can I do?
Contact the bank and tell the representative that your husband acted without authority, and ask to have his actions undone. You can request that the account in your name not be used by anyone other than you until you are able to resolve the matter in person.
