Foreclosure Proceedings Started and I am Deployed

I am having trouble paying the mortgage on my house, and the bank has started foreclosure proceedings. I am on military service now and can't do anything about it. Does the SCRA provide any help for me?

Yes it does. Section 533 provides that a court may stay proceedings (such as sale, foreclosure or seizure of property) involving mortgages and/or trust deeds if the foreclosure action is filed while you are on military or within 90 days after the end of service (9 months if the proceedings are filed from 7/30/2008 through 12/31/2010). Any action (like a bank foreclosure) is not valid without a court order.
