My husband is in the military and we just found out that there was a judgment placed against him for garnishment of his wages, can this be done? How does the SCRA apply here? Can the judgment be garnished from our income taxes once we file next year?

The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act includes protection for service members on active duty with respect to judgments and attachments or garnishments resulting from those judgments. Your husband should contact the JAG office serving his unit and ask for assistance in filing any necessary paperwork to avail himself of rights under Title II of the SCRA.
