SCRA & Protections for Dependents

Does the SCRA provide benefits to my dependents while I am in the service? Who exactly qualifies as my dependent?

Untitled

Yes, it does. Section 538 extends many of the protections of the Act to your dependents if their ability to meet civil obligations (eg, make lease payments) would be materially affected by your military service. The Act defines 'dependents' in Section 511 as your spouse, your child (as defined in 38 U.S.C.s 101(4)) and anyone for whom you provided more than 50% of their support for 180 days immediately prior to applying for any relief under the SCRA.
