Actually, the military will allow a servicemember to direct an allotment of part of his or her pay to someone else's account, but it won't knowingly allow the servicemember's net pay to be direct deposited to an account that's not in the servicemember's name (individually or jointly). Whether an individual bank would accept such a direct deposit, is something you would have to research. Many, if not most, banks won't knowingly allow it. You'll have to ask your bank what its policy is.
