I have a consumer loan for a four wheeler and I have the title for it. Am I able to sell it even though it will not be completely paid off, transfer the title into the buyer's name, and continue to pay off the consumer loan?
If the vehicle secures the loan, the lender should have a lien on the title. In many states selling mortgaged property is illegal. The lender would have to consent and release the lien.
